Bacula Enterprise 10 was announced today. What makes it especially exciting is that it squarely upgrades Bacula Enterprise to be one of the most – if not the most – compatible and flexible backup and recovery products available in the world today. For example, its addition of Proxmox and Xenserver tools into its VM Performance Backup Suite means that users can now easily back up (yep, all clientless) the largest range of hypervisors from a single platform vendor. And if that’s not good enough, remember that Bacula does not charge by data volume… which opens up huge possibilities to an IT department.
The other cool thing about Bacula Enterprise 10 is that it is packed with features for MSPs, hosting providers, IaaS and BaaS providers. Chief among them is an enriched REST API, and BCloud Service, a client-oriented front end, for offering new self-service backup options to MSP customers. Read all about it here!
